Skipping any portions of SS training that contributes to BB competency would be doing a future employer (and one’s self) a disservice.

IOW, a person who is willing to skip some parts of GB training in order to get their SSBB ticket punched is risking achieving less than satisfactory BB project results on behalf of an employer and may, directly or indirectly, cause unintended and costly consequences for that employer.

There is another issue- completing a SSGB course as it is outlined gives the beginner a chance to see how they execute as a Change Agent. Assuming there are real-time, live GB projects to be completed, a student has the opportunity to be groomed as a Change Agent/Leader/Coach/Mentor and if this is an area that needs additional attention, it shows up in a ‘safe’ environment where little damage can be done by a student who lacks leadership skills.

What is not often discussed is how projects are completed and metrics/goals achieved but at the cost of additional waste and expense. Training to standards helps to insure a student is given every opportunity necessary to iron out and polish his/her execution skills.
